OLOS applies a political security of the copyright that aims to avoid that the participants to the Truce for Action 2012 can acquire an advantage deriving from the undue appropriation of work that does not belong to its own intellect.

The laws in force in Italy, country in which the OLOS Foundation is constituted, guarantee security for the author’s rights.
In particular the Decree-Law 9th April 2003 n.68 “Application of the Directive 2001/29/CE on the harmonization of such aspects of the author’s rights and of the rights connected to the information society” is applied. Published in the Official Gazzetta of the Italian Republic n.87 of 14th April 2003.
Furthermore, taken into account the global perspective of the Contest’s organization, the stated law to which we feel we must reference does not only derive form the Italian laws, but we also consider the ones sanctioned by the Government of the United States of America, country where the search engines reside and which most of the internet users begin their www navigation.

OOLOS pledges to help the Copyright owners to find and to eliminate for the Contest’s website the presumed context that violates the Copyright. For such goal, we have activated:

A notification instrument that helps the copyright owners to find on the website material that presumably violates their rights, to supply OLOS with necessary information sufficient to locate such material, with the intent to remove from the website for violating the Contest’s Regulation.
